Casa de Esperanza

(House of Hope)

I can't begin to tell you what it is like to look into the eyes of someone with tears streaming down as they describe their struggles due to drugs and alcohol and abuse that they and their children face each day.

How they wants to escape the situation, but have no where to go.

And we have nothing to offer her but prayer.

 I

It all started with knowing there was a need and that if God had a plan, HE would provide.  We found an abandoned piece of property, which took a year before the owner agreed to sell. Even then, we had no money to buy it. Yet God provided the initial purchase money through Tio Dave's memorial Fund and little by little, the property was transformed.

Today, Casa de Esperanza is a temporary shelter for families in crisis.  A safe place they can stay as we help them get to where they want to go.  Families can stay as long as they need. On the first floor, we have one bedroom and a caretakers room along with a small living room, a full kitchen and two bathrooms with hot showers and flush toilets.  Upstairs we have 3 additional bedrooms with bunk beds, a large living room and a small kitchen area.
