Ben's Closet
The heart of what we do....
So who is Ben?
So who is Ben?

Ben was a young man who loved coming on Mexico Mission Trips each year. He had a servants heart and loved the people he met here. He literally gave the shirt off his back to a boy who liked it. At the age of 16, Ben passed away in a tragic car accident. His mother was one of the first on the scene. We can only imagine the journey that his parents, Dave and Polly started on that day.
We dedicate what we do in memory of Ben.

Doing what they like doing best....
along with their son Jake.
Polly and Dave are a very humble couple. Both found a way to turn their grief into purpose using the gifts and skills that God has given them. Dave is an amazing cook and has been refining his talents for the past several years. Now that he is retired, he has a BBQ catering business which he uses to raise funds for Ben's Kitchen and Ben's Closet. Polly and Jake work as a real-estate team and donate a portion of their fees to this ministry as well.
The concept of Ben's Closet is to help families with basic needs. As people come to eat at Ben's Kitchen each morning, sometimes it's easy to see what they might need. Kids without shoes, clothing that has been worn day after day, people who can't get enough to eat, women with tears, men who are weary and children being raised by their grandparents.
As we identify the needs, we go to Ben's Closet to see what we have. This is where we store things like food, shoes, clothing, formula, diapers, personal hygiene items, blankets, pillows, tarps, toys and things that others donate to us.
